Kara & Ben | Intimate Lake Forest Park Wedding

I’ve known this beautiful couple for years, but separately. Kara and I went to the same high school and after HS played volleyball together in a women’s league. I met Ben about 5 years ago while working with his team professionally through my previous career. So when I saw, a few years ago via social media, that they were dating I was so excited for them. It was also a fun reminder of just how small the world really is.

Fast forward to last winter when Kara reached out regarding their wedding plans and flowers. Her vision for an intimate gathering at their beautiful home in Lake Forest Park sounded magical. And it was. Surrounded by their closest friends, family and the beautifully landscaped yard they had been cultivating for this special day, Kara and Ben said their vows complete with a perfect Pacific Northwest downpour. Floral details in all white set against seasonal greenery in a variety of shades and textures added to the organic feeling of the outdoor space where the celebration and reception took place.

The reception featured the coolest mobile bar {and best bartenders!} from Happy Camper Cocktail Company complete with personal cocktails and a selection of local beer and wine. Family style dinner service and the largest charcuterie board I’ve ever seen crafted by Della Terra. And live music from beloved local artist Robbie Christmas. Every detail of this day was captured beautifully by Caitlyn Nikula and I think you’ll agree after scrolling this post that this wedding was adventurous, stylish, immensely personal and so full of J O Y.

Annalisa & Joe | Rosehill Community Center

Friday the 13th is usually a day associated with superstition, and some people think its unlucky. This gorgeous wedding in July was anything but unlucky. The weather was incredible, the venue was beautiful and Annalisa and Joe were surrounded by so much love and joy. And what’s even more special…they included a gender reveal party as part of the reception! And of course it was all captured beautifully by Jonathan Gipaya.

The floral color palette was built around cafe au lait dahlias, pulling tones of white and blush into each bouquet and floral centerpiece. The ceremony took place in the garden at Rosehill Community Center, overlooking the town of Mukilteo and the sparkling water of the Puget Sound. Inside the venue, the reception space featured tall centerpieces full of summer greenery which complimented the extra tall ceilings and brought the outdoors in.

This wedding was all the things you imagine a summer wedding in the Pacific Northwest should be and I feel truly lucky to have been a part of it.

Blue-Hued Wedding Editorial | Generations Seattle

It’s been nearly a year since I’ve blogged, which is a bit embarrassing. Especially since it was on my list of goals for 2018…. Ugh. There’s always next year, right?? Or….now!

If you’re considering blue for your wedding color palette, then this is the inspiration you need! This editorial shoot, which was just featured by Seattle Bride Magazine, is one I’ve been waiting with excitement to show you all FOR MONTHS! Now that it’s officially out in the world, I can share all of my favorite images with you…and there are a lot.

Designed by Willow & Ivy Events, all of the details are modern yet timeless. The floral details are focused on tones of white and greenery with lots of soft and organic textures from peonies, ranunculus, and garden roses. And there is cake…. so much beautiful cake! Enjoy.

Ashley & Evan | DeLille Cellars Wedding

Woodinville weddings are hard to beat. There are so many beautiful venues and of course SO MUCH GOOD WINE...if you're into that kind of thing. Plus, this is my neighborhood, and I truly love living and working here. I was immediately excited about Ashley's vision for her wedding this past September at DeLille Cellars in Woodinville. Even though we didn't have the chance to meet in person until the day of the wedding, I felt like we were on the same page from our first conversation and it made working together so much fun. Her classic style set the backdrop for floral details in shades of white and blush. This is definitely one of my favorite weddings to date!

Lauren & Brian | MV Skansonia Wedding

There are some really unique and interesting event spaces in the Seattle area. The MV Skansonia is definitely on that list and I was so excited when Lauren told me this was the venue for her and Brian's wedding this summer. Lauren and Brian Met in St. Thomas, so they wanted to incorporate some tropical feeling elements into their floral design, which I loved! Palm fronds, which were also the print on her bridesmaids dresses, were one of the main floral elements and gave a tropical vibe to their day. And there was a steel drum at their reception....how cool is that?!

MacKenzie & Jarad | Boyer House Wedding

MacKenzie and Jarad's wedding in July was at the gorgeous and historic Boyer House in Walla Walla. MacKenzie's color pallet in shades of white, cream and champagne was a perfect compliment to the venue and the gold accents added the right touch of glamour. It was such an honor to be a part of bringing MacKenzie's vision to life.
