Kara & Ben | Intimate Lake Forest Park Wedding
I’ve known this beautiful couple for years, but separately. Kara and I went to the same high school and after HS played volleyball together in a women’s league. I met Ben about 5 years ago while working with his team professionally through my previous career. So when I saw, a few years ago via social media, that they were dating I was so excited for them. It was also a fun reminder of just how small the world really is.
Fast forward to last winter when Kara reached out regarding their wedding plans and flowers. Her vision for an intimate gathering at their beautiful home in Lake Forest Park sounded magical. And it was. Surrounded by their closest friends, family and the beautifully landscaped yard they had been cultivating for this special day, Kara and Ben said their vows complete with a perfect Pacific Northwest downpour. Floral details in all white set against seasonal greenery in a variety of shades and textures added to the organic feeling of the outdoor space where the celebration and reception took place.
The reception featured the coolest mobile bar {and best bartenders!} from Happy Camper Cocktail Company complete with personal cocktails and a selection of local beer and wine. Family style dinner service and the largest charcuterie board I’ve ever seen crafted by Della Terra. And live music from beloved local artist Robbie Christmas. Every detail of this day was captured beautifully by Caitlyn Nikula and I think you’ll agree after scrolling this post that this wedding was adventurous, stylish, immensely personal and so full of J O Y.
